World class dance instructors centered in a welcoming atmosphere for learning.I, like most guys,... was initially intimidated by dance lessons. The studio’s staff was warm and incredibly patient. After only a few lessons, I became confident in my ability to dance socially. I’ve taken lessons at other studios in the Jacksonville area, but the quality of instructors at the Arthur Murray South Jacksonville (Mandarin) is head and shoulders above others.My wife and I take regular lessons now. Our goal is to enjoy ourselves in a social atmosphere, not to worry about competing or impressing anyone else. We enjoy this physical activity, in a social atmosphere.If you’re curious, you might look into a few inexpensive introductory lessons. Taking regular lessons can get expensive, but it’s taught us skills that we’ll use and enjoy for the rest of our lives. Doubt I could say that about almost any other social activity.read more

The studio is my temple of dance for the past 7 years. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The... instructors are friendly and consummate professionals.I have danced with Vasily, actually learning HOW to dance. He has patience beyond the pale, yet while meeting me at my level, very subtly moving me beyond. I am using muscles I didn't know I had. It's hard work, but necessary if I want to go the distance. I do!I strongly recommend take a chance and change your life. I started a 3-lesson introductory package almost 3 years ago and haven't looked back. My neighbor... brought me to the studio's complimentary group lesson for first-timers and l was hooked immediately. The instructors are top-notch whether you're looking to improve upon your technique or simply have fun social dancing at the Friday night parties. The teachers and students are so welcoming to newcomers too. Marina and Vasily, the owners, run a first class studio making sure their instructors are well-trained to meet your needs and ability. Our studio has produced, and travels with, national champions, but also puts as much effort into an in-studio 50's themed dance party or a Halloween party. Trying a class was one of the best things I've ever spontaneously said "Yes" too. I've competed in a few competitions and several showcases now. I don't worry about nerves - it's all about FUN and feeling the freedom to enjoy the music and movement. Added bonus - mobility, range of motion, and memory recall is the best it's ever been.
